RAJBHASHA FORTNIGHT CELEBRATION AND ZOLIC MEETING CONCLUDES         

The Rajbhasha Fortnight Celebration and 58th Zonal Official Language Implementation Committee Meeting of South Western Railway Head Quarters concluded o­n 14.09.2018. The Valedictory Function was held at GM’s Conference Hall, Rail Soudha, Gadag Road, Hubballi.  Shri Ashok Kumar Gupta, General Manager of South Western Railway presided over the function.  Shri B.B. Singh, Additional General Manager; Shri K. Shivprasad, Chief Commercial Manager; Shri Rajeevan, Chief Personnel Officer and Senior Officials & Staff in large number attended the function.

Shri A.K. Gupta said that Hindi day is celebrated o­n 14th September, every year along with Rajbhasha fortnight. Head Quarters office conducted the Rajbhasha fort night from 03.09.2018 to 14.09.2018. He said that Railway is conducting Hindi workshop, Hindi Key Board training, Rajbhasha campaign etc to improve working knowledge of staff. o­n the occasion Shri Gupta read the Hindi Day Message of Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Home Minister and distributed the 97 awards to the winners of various competition held  as part of Rajbhasha fortnight.

Shri, S.K Gupta Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer & Mukhya Rajbhasha Adhikari, said that o­n 14th September, 1949 Hindi was declared as the official language of India and to commemorate this Hindi day is celebrated o­n 14th September every year. He read out the Hindi day message of Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways.
