Principal Chief Material Manager, South Western Railway

Shri G.V. Narayana Murthy presently working as Principal Chief Material Manager, South Western Railway, Hubballi had previously worked as Chief Materials Manager at South Central Railway, East Coast Railway, Southern Railway and Integral Coach Factory. He was involved in production of T-18 Train and special purpose coaches in ICF besides contributing for record production of coaches by ICF.


The officer had attended Strategic Management Course in Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh and also was part of Technology Transfer Project with General Motors, USA for High Power Diesel Locomotives.


The officer had worked as Procurement Advisor to Government of Afghanistan under World Bank funded projects.


The officer has done his Masters in Mechanical Engineering and had worked in Southern Railway, South Central Railway, East Coast Railway and Integral Coach Factory before taking over charges of Principal Chief Materials Manager, South Western Railway, Hubballi.
