ØSurvey was conducted along the track and it was seen that several residential and multi-storied buildings have to be demolished in addition to acquisition of land for construction of additional two lines. Due to above constraint estimate could not be prepared.
ØOn 14.2.2013 Ministry of Urban Development has communicated their views and they have recommended for planned development of Krishnarajapuram and Whitefield and also stated that Transit Oriented Development (TOD) needs to be adopted which would involve extension of Bangalore Metro and development of communities with mixed land use, integrated into a walkable neighbourhood at convenient walking distance from Metro.
ØIn the year 2013-14 a survey for inter-modal transport system in Bangalore has been sanctioned by GoK and the same is being done by RITES who have submitted the final report to Government of Karnataka.
