Smt. Bela Meena assumed office as the new Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of South Western Railway, Hubballi Division. A distinguished officer of Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) from 1996 batch, Smt. Meena brings over 27 years of rich experience and expertise to her new role.
Starting her illustrious career on September 4, 1997, Mrs. Meena has held several notable positions.From 1999 to 2017, she served in the Western Railway, Mumbai, played pivotal role in enhancing the operational and commercial efficiency of Mumbai Division as Senior Divisional Operations Manager (Sr.DOM) & Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr.DCM). Her effort in station beautification at Borivali, Khar, and Matunga Road has earned national attention and were highlighted in the Prime Minister's "Mann Ki Baat" program.
Prior to the posting as DRM Hubballi she also served as Chief Transportation Manager, Chief Project Manager, Chief Commercial Manager (Non fare revenue and passenger marketing) inNorthern Railway (NR)
Smt. Meena has contributed to the digital transformation of Indian Railways in general and NR in particular, in ticketing areas such as removal of outer geo-fencing for Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) App, Offline testing of Super App, Functionality of booking of UTS tickets for Divyangjan through UTS-on-Mobile App and functionality of Quick Response (QR) based payment has been made available at all UTS and Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters over NR.
