As per catering policy 2017 “IRCTC has been mandated to carry out the unbundling of catering services by creating a distinction primarily between food preparation and food distribution”. Accordingly, IRCTCshallberesponsibleforcateringservicesthroughmobilecateringunits,Base Kitchens, Cell Kitchens, Refreshment Rooms at A1 & A categoryofstations,FoodPlazas,FoodCourts,TrainSideVending,JanAhaars.
