SENIOR DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER & CHIEF VIGILANCE OFFICER

Shri. Manoj Kumar, IRSS, has taken over the charge of Senior Deputy General Manager & Chief Vigilance Officer, South Western Railway w.e.f  27.04.2026.

He is an officer of Indian Railways Stores Service (IRSS) of 1992 batch. He holds B. Tech.(Mechanical Engg) degree and M. Tech. (Metallurgical Engg.) degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has also attended the Advanced Management Program at the INSEAD Management Institute in Singapore and Malaysia.

He belongs to Eastern Railway and has put in 32 years service in Group A in various capacities across Indian Railways – In Eastern Railways, Kolkata, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, South Eastern Railways, Kolkata, Banaras Locomotive Works, Varanasi, North Western Railways, Jaipur.

Prior to his posting as SDGM&CVO/SWR, he was working as Chief Vigilance Officer/S&M  in  North Western Railway.

During his earlier stint in Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala he was instrumental in successful commissioning of Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS).
