SEMINAR FOR EDUCATING STAFF
A full day ”Seminar” on Railway Discipline and Appeal Rules was organised by the Personnel department of South Western Railway, Rail Soudha at Hubballi on 22nd May, 2018. The Seminar was inaugurated by Shri A.K. Gupta, General Manager, South Western Railway. During the seminar, experienced and expert speakers spoke on various topics related to Disciplinary and appeal rules the subject with focus on common mistakes case studies and remedial measures, along with checklists to be followed. It also highlighted the subtle nuances of dealing of such cases. To provide impetus to the drive of process improvement in internal working& Project “Saksham” a booklet on “Process improvement in office procedures” was also released by the General Manager aimed at streamlining of office procedures to improve delivery and also to promote accountability , responsibility and individual efficiency.
The seminar was graced by Shri B.B. Singh Additional General Manager, South Western Railway, the Principal Heads of various Departments, Officers and attended by nearly 200 staff units of Bengaluru, Mysuru and Hubballi Divisions. The seminar was organised by Shri Shanker Kumar Albela, IRPS, the Principal Chief Personnel Officer, SWR.
In the evening, 63rdRailway Week Awards function at the level of PCPO of South Western Railway was held at Rail Soudha/ Hubballi . Shri.Shanker Kumar Albela, IRPS, the Principal Chief Personnel Officer, SWR the Chief Guest of the function. He highlighted the delivery improvements brought in the Personnel department recently and mentioned the focus areas for the next financial year related to computerisation, Grievance redressal and training improvements. He also distributed awards to 3 officers and 47 staff from Bengaluru, Mysuru and Hubballi units of SWR. In appreciation of their outstanding performance during 2016-17. The function was attended by all HR heads of various Divisions and Workshops and concluded with vote of thanks by Sri. Arun Ravichettu, SPO/IT & Planning.
