SALIENT FEATURES OF NEW RAILWAY TIME TABLE

Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager of South Western Railway released New South Regional Railway Time Table at Rail Soudha today i.e. o­n 01.07.2019. This time table has come into effect from 01.07.2019. The salient features of New Southern Zone Railway Time Table are as follows: -

Ø20 (Twenty) New Trains were introduced in the last o­ne year from April-2018 to June-2019. These include: -

·2 (Two) 6 days a week Jan Shatabdi Express between KSR Bengaluru & Shivamogga Town.

·2 (Two) Six days a week Uday Express (Double Decker) between KSR Bengaluru &Coimbatore

·4  (Four) Humsafar – Express   between  Banaswadi – Patna & Banaswadi – Kochuveli &

·6 (Six) weekly Express important being Yesvantpur – Hubballi, Mysuru – Renigunta, Yesvantpur – Pandharpur.

·2 (Two)Tri-weekly Express Yesvantpur – Mangaluru Central & back.

·2  (Two) Daily Express, including train from Hubli up to Gangavathi.

·2 (Two) Five days a week (RAIL BUS) between Bagalkot – Khajjiidhoni

Ø31 (Thirty-one) trains speeded up from 5 minutes to 75 minutes in South Western Railway jurisdiction : 

·Nanded - Bengaluru Exp ( by 45 min),

·Vijayawada—Bengaluru Cantt. Pass ( by 50 min), 

·Mysuru  - Yesvantpur Pass ( by 25 min), 

·Yesvantpur –Chikmagalur Pass (75 Mins. Or 1 hour 15 mins.),

·Talaguppa Mysuru Express (30 Mins.)

·Shivamogga Town –Talguppa Pass( by 30mins), 

·Talguppa –KSR Bengaluru Exp. (40 Mins.)

ØFrequency increased  3 Express Trains

·(One Humsafar Weekly Express weekly to Bi-weekly,

· JanShatabdi  express from 4 days a week to 6 days a week &

·11139/40 6 days a week express Chatrapati Shivaji -Gadag Express will be made  daily from 1 st Oct

V

Ø10 (Ten) Pairs of  trains extended

·( 7 Express trains, 1 DEMU special,1 MEMU train & 1 Passenger trains) in the last o­ne year from April-2018 to June-2019.

VI

22 Express Trains (11 pairs) Provided with LHB Rakes (from old conventional).

VII

10 Conventional  passenger/Express train rakes (5 Pairs) replaced with MEMU ensuring better acceleration

VIII

18 conventional rakes  Converted  to LHB rakes for improved safety & Passenger Comfort.

IX

112 (One Hundred and Twelve) Trains Timings revised to facilitate convenience to the passengers. This includes 82 Express Trains, 30 Passenger Trains.

X

Revision of Train timings has been done reasonably and marginally keeping convenience of passengers in view. Changes have been mostly done at intermediate stations o­n slightly early departure o­n most of the cases.
