PRESIDENT/SWRWWO AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS AND

 PRIZES TO WARDS OF RAILWAYMEN

South Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SWRWWO), Headquarters, Hubballi organised annual scholarship awards and prize distribution ceremony at Railway Centenary Hall, Club Road, Hubballi o­n 18.02.2020. Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager, South Western Railway was the Chief Guest of the programme.

The programme was conducted under the aegis of SWRWWO.  Smt. Sujata Singh, President/SWRWWO welcomed the dignitaries and Smt. Renuka Mallya, Secretary/SWRWWO presented a report o­n the various welfare activities taken by the organisation. 

Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, General Manager/SWR and Smt. Sujata Singh, President/SWRWWO awarded merit Scholarship Certificates along with Cash Prizes amounting to Rs 1.90 lakhs to 49 meritorious students who have secured 85% & above marks in SSLC and 80% & above in PUC-II, Degree and Technical Degree courses to wards of Railway men. 

Shri A K Singh in his address has appreciated the initiatives of SWRWWO to the wards of Railway men and congratulated all the awardees. He advised students present o­n the occasion the words of Swami Vivekananda that “One is the master of his/her destiny.  He advised students to set goals and work towards them and with power and perseverance they can be achieved.

Shri P. K. Mishra, Additional General Manager/ SWR later distributed cash prizes to 33 Winners of ‘On-the-spot’ Drawing & Painting and Essay Competitions at Headquarters level conducted by SWRWWO.

A small cultural programme was organised by the students which was appreciated by the audience.  Principal Heads of the Departments and office bearers of SWRWWO and parents of the awardees attended the function. Smt Rekha Bhushan, Joint Secretory, SWRWWO proposed vote of thanks.
