       BHARAT SCOUTS AND GUIDES, ROVERS OF SWR TAKE OUT BIKE RALLY o­n THE OCCASION OF 158th BIRTH

 ANNIVERSARY OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA

On the occasion of 158thBirth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda o­n 12th Jan. which is also observed as National Youth Day in India, the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Rovers of SWR took out a bike rally o­n 18.01.2021 from Rail Soudha, the SWR Head Quarters to Castle Rock. The purpose of the Bike Rally was to create awareness among the public o­n the use of Masks and to protect o­neself and prevent the spread of the Covid 19 corona virus.

The rally was flagged off from Rail Soudha by Sri P. Ravi Kumar State Chief Commissioner BSG & PCME/SWR/UBL, and Sri Alok Kumar, Vice President BSG & PCPO/SWR/UBL at 11.00 am. 

Shri Arvind Malkhede, Divisional Railway Manager, Hubballi flagged off the Rally from the Divisional Headquarters. Shri Jogendra Yadvendu, Addl. Divisional Railway Manager/G Hubballi Division along with Rovers of the SWR Bharat Scouts and Guides led the 105 Km Bike Rally which finished at Castle Rock at 6.00 pm.  Shri Timothy T. Gonmei, State Secretary BSG & CPO/Admn/SWR/UBL and Sri Shuja Mahamood, State Secretary BSG & Dy.CPO/Gaz/SWR/UBL has also taken part in the Rally.

En route the members distributed masks to the general public and informed them the importance of wearing masks to protect o­neself from the corona virus. Masks were distributed en route during the rally and at Dharwad, Honnapur, Alnawar, Londa and Castle Rock.

The members contingent of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Rovers of SWR will leave Castle Rock and return back to Hubballi today i.e. 19.01.2021.
