THE 10th OXYGEN EXPRESS REACHED ICD WHITEFIELD

BENGALURU TODAY

Despite the challenges faced by impending cyclonic situation, Indian Railways continued to dutifully transport Liquid Medical Oxygen along with essential commodities throughout the nation, partnering actively and robustly with State Governments in the fight against the Covid19 Pandemic.

The delivery of LMO has brought hope and uplifted the confidence among the public and healthcare proving staff engaged in frontline against the war o­n Covid -19. This has been also made possible due to the efforts of Railway frontline staff working silently, but sincerely day in and day out. The maintenance staff of Railways have ensured that all assets are kept in good condition for swift and efficient transport of LMO through ‘Green Corridor’.

The 10th Oxygen Express has reached ICD Whitefield, Bengaluru at 03:05 pm today (24.05.2021). It had started from Tatanagar, Jharkhand at 10:15 am o­n 23.05.2021.

The train has carried 6 Cryogenic Containers and carried total120 Tonnes Liquid Medical Oxygen.

So far, Karnataka has received 1182.14 Tonnesof Liquid Medical Oxygen by Rail. Indian Railways has so far run 247 Oxygen Expresses and transported more than16000 Tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen in 977 tankers to all over the country to assist state governments in their fight against Covid -19.
