In all the 03 Divisions, Divisional Railway Managers and Senior Officers participated in the campaign and the following activities were carried out:

1.Nukkad Nataks were played at LC gates.

2.Campaigns were done at Gram Panchayat Offices to educate the rural population.

3.Road users were counseled and hand bills were distributed regarding Safety at LC gates.

4.Banners & Posters were displayed at LC Gates and Stations to create awareness among public.

In view of precautions to be taken for prevention of Covid-19, care was taken to ensure maintaining of social distancing and wearing of mask while conducting this awareness.

Over SWR, there are no Unmanned LCs which were eliminated in 2019 and all the Level Crossings are Manned Gates. Safety at Level Crossings is one of the focus areas of Indian Railways and all efforts are being taken to eliminate Level Crossings by construction of ROBs/RUBs where Train Vehicle Units (TVUs) are more than 1 Lakh and by constructing Limited Height Sub Ways for gates with lesser TVUs.

Few photographs in this connection with observing ILCAD on 10.06.2021 are attached.
