REVIEW
MEETING on PLANNING & CONSTRUCTION OF ROB, RUB OF SWR
General Manager Shri Sanjeev Kishore chaired a review meeting on planning, progress of construction of Road Over Bridges & Road Under Bridges, at SWR Head Office, Hubballi today. Divisional Railway Managers of Hubballi, Mysuru, Bengaluru Divisions, Chief Engineers of Construction Organization joined the meeting via Video Conference.
Shri Kishore conducted a detailed review and stock of the status of water drainage in existing RUB, ROBs. He also took stock of the planning of ROB, RUBs in lieu of Level Crossing Gates.
He directed the engineers to ensure that practical, economic and permanent solution be planned and executed in a time bound manner for resolving the issues related to water logging in RUBs.
He also directed the officers concerned to coordinate with State Government wherever issues related to land acquisition are involved in construction of new ROBs, RUBs.
It is the policy of Railway Board to progressively eliminate Level Crossing Gates to improve safety, by constructing ROB/RUBs.
Shri Kishore stated that these works must be completed in a time bound manner.
