EAT RIGHT STATION CERTIFICATION FOR SSS HUBBALLI BY FOOD SAFETY AND STANDFARDS AUTHORITY OF KARNATAKA
Under the Vision of Eat Right India Project, one of the concepts is Eat Right Station. South Western Railway has been striving hard to ensure safe and hygienic food to rail commuters over SWR with the help of its Food Safety Wing (Medical Department)
M/s.Neelam Food Plaza and M/s DINESH SINGH TOMAR REFRESHMENT ROOM on Platform No. 1 of SSS Hubballi Railway Station were audited by M/s oneCert International Pvt. Limited, Jaipur, during December 2021 and January 2022.
The apex body i.e. Food Safety and Standards Authority of Karnataka & Herbalife Nutrition, New Delhi have awarded Eat Right Station certification to SSS Hubballi Station. This Certificate will be valid for a period of 1 year.
This feat was possible with sincere efforts of the team led Dr Krishna Reddy, Asst. Chief Medical Director/ South Western Railway as well as the Divisional Team led by Divisional Railway Manager with co-operation and support from State Food Safety Team of Hubballi – Dharwad Municipal Corporation.
General Manager Shri Sanjeev Kishore has congratulated the team and lauded their efforts. He has stated that SWR is committed to ensuring hygienic and high quality service to its esteemed passengers.
SSS Hubballi Station is the First station in Karnataka to get this certification and 5th Station over Indian Railways.
Hubballi will be the 7th station (after Chandigarh, Anand Vihar, Chhatrapati Shivaji terminus, Mumbai Central, Vadodara & Bhuvanesvar) to be awarded with Eat Right Station certification and 5th to be awarded with 5 star rating.
Five star rating is the highest rating. It is certified as 'exemplary' in third party audit considering all the standards of hygiene, nutrition etc.
