RPF SPECIAL TEAM SUCCESSFULLY DETECTS 24 NDPS CASES DURING ELECTION PERIOD IN KARNATAKA
Bengaluru, 18.05.2023 - A remarkable joint operation was carried out during the election period in Karnataka, resulting in the detection of 24 cases related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This (Railway Protection Force) special team, formed in coordination with senior officials from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), worked tirelessly to combat drug-related offenses in the region. Notably, the team received valuable support from SP, NCB.
During the course of these operations, a staggering total of 347.3 kilograms of Ganja, were seized by the team, on various trains and railway premises. The diligent efforts of the team led to the arrest of 27 individuals.
The success of this operation would not have been possible without the invaluable assistance of dedicated canine partners. The RPF dog squad played a pivotal role in the detection and seizure of Narcotic substances, showcasing their exceptional skills and contribution to law enforcement efforts.
In addition to the NDPS cases, the RPF special team also recovered more than 2.2 crore unaccounted cash during their operations, which was surrendered to I-T officials.
The efforts and commitment displayed by Shri Devansh Shukla, IRPFS, Senior Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF, Bengaluru, were highly appreciated by both the I-T and NCB departments. Shri Devansh Shukla's exceptional leadership and dedication were instrumental in the success of this operation.
The operation done in collaboration with GRP, Karnataka, indicates the dedication of the authorities in addressing drug related crimes, ensuring the safety and security of the citizens of Karnataka.
