DIRECTOR GENERAL RAILWAY PROTECTION FORCE, VISITS HUBBALLI

·DG, RPF chaired 'Suraksha Sammelan' at Rail Soudha

·Shri Manoj Yadava IPS, calls for imbibing latest technology in railway-security efforts

·Various issues pertaining to passenger safety, security discussed with Principal Officers of SWR

Shri Manoj Yadava IPS, who recently took over as Director-General (RPF) visited Hubballi today. Guard of Honour was presented to Shri Yadava by RPF platoon.  Director General inaugurated a 12 bedded newly constructed RPF barrack at Gadag which was constructed at a cost of 71,00,000/- for the accommodation of RPF staff.

            DG/RPF conducted Suraksha Sammelan for RPF staff of SWR at Rail Soudha which was attended by 120 Officers and staff of RPF/SWR. During the Suraksha Sammelan, DG/RPF emphasized o­n various issues including of stress management, Health discipline and called o­n Force member to strive hard for the wellbeing of travelling passengers. He stressed upon more and more use of modern technology in order to overcome shortage of manpower, better outcome, positive image building by good work etc.  Sri R.S.P. Singh, IG-cum-PCSC/RPF/SWR along with Sri Vijay Kumar Khatarkar, Chief Security Commissioner/RPF and J.K. Sharma, Divisional Security Commissioner/RPF/Hubli Division accompanied the Officer during the visit.

            Later, Shri. Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager /SWR accompanied by PHODs gave a glimpse and performance of SWR including that of Security and various S&T projects related to SWR.

            He lauded the performance of SWR in rising to first place in terms of KPI (Key performance indices) which is a complex system of performance measurement of railway zone from 16th position in the last year to the first position among all zones in March 2023. He congratulated Shri Sanjeev Kishore General Manager SWR for his leadership and initiatives in achieving the same. 

After the successful visit, the DG/RPF left for New Delhi.
