Conversion of trains with conventional rakes into LHB rakes /Extension of temporary augmentation of coaches

SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY

I.Conversion of trains with conventional rakes into LHB rakes

SWR has decided to convert the following trains from conventional rakes to Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) rakes. This initiative aims to enhance passenger safety and comfort, effective from the dates mentioned against each train. The details are as follows:

1.Train No. 07355 SSS Hubballi-Rameswaram Weekly Express Special with effect from May 25, 2024.

2.Train No. 07356 Rameswaram-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express with effect from May 26, 2024.

3.Train No. 12777 SSS Hubballi-Kochuveli Weekly Express with effect from May 29, 2024.

4.Train No. 12778 Kochuveli-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express with effect from May 30, 2024.

The revised coach composition for these trains will be as follows: 1 AC-2 tier, 3 AC-3 tier, 2 AC-3 tier Economy, 9 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, 1 SLRD, and 1 Brake van cum Generator Van.

Additionally, further conversions of these trains will take place later in the year o­n the following dates:

1.Train No. 07355 SSS Hubballi-Rameswaram Weekly Express Special with effect from September 7, 2024.

2.Train No. 07356 Rameswaram-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express with effect from September 8, 2024.

3.Train No. 12777 SSS Hubballi-Kochuveli Weekly Express with effect from September 4, 2024.


4.Train No. 12778 Kochuveli-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express with effect from September 5, 2024.

The revised coach composition for these trains will be as follows: 2 AC-2 tier, 3 AC-3 tier, 3 AC-3 tier Economy, 7 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, 2 Brake van cum Generator Vans.

II.Extension of temporary augmentation of coaches

The services of coaches temporarily augmented to the following trains will be further extended, as per the details mentioned below:

1.The services of o­ne AC First Class coach temporarily augmented to SSS Hubballi-Hyderabad Daily Express (T.No. 17319) will be extended from June 1 to 30, 2024.

2.The services of o­ne AC First Class coach temporarily augmented to Hyderabad-SSS Hubballi Daily Express (T.No. 17320) will be extended from June 2 to July 1, 2024.

3.The services of o­ne AC First Class coach temporarily augmented to SSS Hubballi-Dadar Daily Express (T.No. 17317) will be extended from June 3 to July 2, 2024.

4.The services of o­ne AC First Class coach temporarily augmented to Dadar-SSS Hubballi Daily Express (T.No. 17318) will be extended from June 4 to July 3, 2024.

5.The services of o­ne AC First Class coach temporarily augmented to Belagavi-Mysuru Daily Express (T.No. 17301) will be extended from June 1 to September 3, 2024.

6.The services of o­ne AC First Class coach temporarily augmented to Mysuru-Belagavi Daily Express (T.No. 17302) will be extended from June 4 to September 6, 2024.

7.The services of o­ne AC First Class coach temporarily augmented to Mysuru-Bagalkot Basava Daily Express (T.No. 17307) will be extended from June 2 to September 4, 2024.

8.The services of o­ne AC First Class coach temporarily augmented to Bagalkot-Mysuru Basava Daily Express (T.No. 17308) will be extended from June 3 to September 5, 2024

9.The services of o­ne Vistadome coach temporarily augmented to Yesvantpur-Shivamogga Town Intercity Daily Express (T.No. 16579) will be extended from June 1 to November 30, 2024.

10.The services of o­ne Vistadome coach temporarily augmented to Shivamogga Town-Yesvantpur Intercity Daily Express (T.No. 16580) will be extended from June 1 to November 30, 2024.
