SWR Augments Additional Coaches for General Passengers Benefit

South Western Railway (SWR) is pleased to announce the augmentation of additional coaches across its train services, aimed at enhancing the travel experience for general passengers. This initiative is part of SWR's improving passenger comfort and convenience o­n its trains.

The decision to augment more general coaches comes in response to the increasing demand from passengers for better seating availability and improved travel conditions. By adding extra coaches, SWR aims to alleviate overcrowding and provide a more comfortable journey for all passengers.

South Western Railway operates train services across a vast network, connecting major cities and towns in the region. Some of the trains that will have additional coaches as mentioned below: -

1.Train no 17319/20 SSS Hubballi-Hyderabad- SSS Hubballi Express w.e.f 1.07.2024 from both sides.

2.Train No. 17317/18 SSS Hubballi-Dadar- SSS Hubballi Express, w.e.f 03.07.2024 from both sides.

3.Train Nos. 16207/16208 Yesvantpur-Mysuru-Yesvantpur Daily Express, effective from July 4, 2024, from Mysuru and July 5, 2024, from Yesvantpur.

 

4.Train Nos. 16211/16212 Yesvantpur-Salem-Yesvantpur Daily Express, effective from July 4, 2024, from Yesvantpur and July 5, 2024, from Salem.

 

5.Train Nos. 07327/07328 Mysuru-Chamarajanagar-Mysuru Daily Passenger Special, effective from July 2, 2024, from Mysuru and July 3, 2024, from Chamarajanagar.

 

6.Train Nos. 16567/16568 Tumakuru-Shivamogga Town-Tumakuru Daily Express, effective from July 2, 2024, from Tumakuru and July 3, 2024, from Shivamogga Town.

 

7.Train Nos. 07345/07346 Chamarajanagar-Tumakuru-Chamarajanagar Daily Passenger Special, effective from July 2, 2024, from Chamarajanagar and July 3, 2024, from Tumakuru.

 

8.Train Nos. 16221/16222 Talguppa-Mysuru-Talguppa Daily Express, effective from July 2, 2024, from Mysuru and July 3, 2024, from Talguppa.

 

9.Train Nos. 06543/06544 Mysuru-Chamarajanagar-Mysuru Daily Passenger Special, effective from July 3, 2024, from both Mysuru and Chamarajanagar.

 

10.Train Nos. 06213/06214 Arsikere-Mysuru-Arsikere Daily Passenger Special, effective from July 2, 2024, from Arsikere and July 4, 2024, from Mysuru.

 

11.Train Nos. 16225/16226 Mysuru-Shivamogga Town-Mysuru Daily Express, effective from July 2, 2024, from Mysuru and July 4, 2024, from Shivamogga Town.


12. Train Nos. 07365/07366 Shivamogga Town-Chikkamagaluru-Shivamogga Town Daily Passenger Special, effective from July 2, 2024, from Shivamogga Town and July 4, 2024, from Chikkamagaluru.

 13.Train Nos. 06581/06582 KSR Bengaluru-Channapatna-KSR Bengaluru Daily Passenger Special, effective from July 5, 2024, from both Bengaluru and Channapatna.


14.Train Nos. 06273/06274 KSR Bengaluru-Arsikere-KSR Bengaluru Daily Passenger Special, effective from July 5, 2024, from both Arsikere and KSR Bengaluru.


15.Train Nos. 16239/16240 Chikkamagaluru-Yesvantpur- Chikkamagaluru Daily Express, effective from July 3, 2024, from both side Chikkamagaluru and Yesvantpur.


16.Train Nos. 06267/06268 Arsikere-Mysuru-Arsikere Daily Passenger Special, effective from July 5, 2024, from Arsikere and July 8, 2024, from Mysuru.

 

17.Train Nos. 06269/06270 Mysuru-SMVT Bengaluru-Mysuru Daily Passenger Special, effective from July 5, 2024, from Mysuru and July 7, 2024, from SMVT Bengaluru.

 

18.Train Nos. 16529/16530 SMVT Bengaluru-Karaikal-SMVT Bengaluru Daily Express, effective from July 6, 2024, from SMVT Bengaluru and July 7, 2024, from Karaikal.

 

19.Train No. 12295/12296 SMVT Bengaluru-Danapur-SMVT Bengaluru Sanghamitra Daily Express effective from July 8, 2024, from SMVT Bengaluru and July 10, 2024, from Danapur.

 

20.Train No. 12251/12252 Yesvantpur-Korba-Yesvantpur Wainganga Bi-weekly Express Two General Second Class Coaches will be added effective from July 9, 2024, from Yesvantpur and July 11, 2024 from Korba.

21.Train No. 12253/12254 SMVT Bengaluru-Bhagalpur-SMVT Bengaluru Anga Weekly Superfast Express effective from July 13, 2024, from SMVT Bengaluru and July 17, 2024 from Bhagalpur.

In next few days the following Express trains will be added with additional general class coaches aimed at enhancing the travel experience for general passengers.

1.Train no 17321/22 Vasco Da Gama-Jasidih-Vasco Da Gama

2.Train No. 17301/02 Mysuru-Belagavi-Mysuru

3.Train No. 12975/76 Mysuru-Jaipur- Mysuru

4.Train No. 16511/12 KSR Bengaluru-Kannur-KSR Bengaluru

5.Train No. 16219/20 Chamarajanagar-Tirupati- Chamarajanagar

6.Train No. 17307/08 Mysuru-Bagalkot-Mysuru

7.Train No. 16227/28 Mysuru-Talguppa-Mysuru

Key highlights of the augmentation include:

·    Increased Seating Capacity: Additional coaches will significantly increase the seating capacity available to general passengers, ensuring that more travelers can find seats comfortably.

·    Improved Travel Experience: Passengers can expect reduced congestion and a more relaxed journey owing to the enhanced availability of seating arrangements.

·Enhanced Accessibility: The additional coaches will improve accessibility for all passengers, including senior citizens, differently-abled individuals, and those traveling with families.

This augmentation will be implemented across SWR owning train routes, benefiting a wide spectrum of travelers who rely o­n SWR's services for their daily commute and long-distance travel needs.

GM SWR Shri Arvind Srivastava said that the augmentation of additional coaches is part of SWR's o­ngoing efforts to improve its services to meet the growing demands of passengers across its network. SWR remains dedicated to providing safe, efficient, and comfortable rail transportation solutions for all its passengers.
