WOMEN SHAKTI TEAMS, RAILWAY PROTECTION FORCE OF BENGALURU DIVISION RESCUED A MINOR GIRL
Named ‘Shakti’, the all-women Railway Protection Force teams of Bengaluru Division are at the forefront in prevention of crime in Railway premises.
The Shakti Team of Bengaluru Division rescued a minor girl from Train No. 02295 KSR Bengaluru – Danapur Sanghmitra Special Express between Krishnarajapuram to Bangarapet Section on 09.07.2021.
On enquiry, the said girl revealed that she was a resident of East Champaran (Motihari), Bihar. She stated that she had run away from home due to repeated sexual harassment by her father.
After rescuing, she was brought to Bengaluru City Railway Station’s RPF Post Child friendly place. After due formalities, the said girl was handed over to Smt Uma, Bosco Child Home for further safe keeping and necessary legal action under POCSO (The Protection of Children from of Sexual Offences) Act and other relevant Acts.
