Special trains between SMVT Bengaluru & Kochuveli to clear festive rush

It has been decided to run two trips of special trains between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru and Kochuveli stations in order to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Attukal Pongal festive season.

1.Train No. 06501 SMVT Bengaluru-Kochuveli Express Special will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 23:55 hrs o­n February 22 & 24, 2024 and reach its destination, Kochuveli at 19:10 hrs o­n the next day.


2.Train No. 06502 Kochuveli-SMVT Bengaluru Express Special will depart from Kochuveli at 22:00 hrs o­n February 23 & 25, 2024 and arrive SMVT Bengaluru at 16:30 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute, the train will have stoppages at Whitefield, Bangarapet, Kuppam, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Ottappalam, Trissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayankulam, and Kollam stations in both directions.

 The special trains will comprise a total of 18 coaches, including: AC two-tier coach (1), AC three-tier coaches (13), General second-class coaches (2), and SLR (2).
