I.SWR to Replace Existing Rakes with LHB Rake
SWR has decided to replace the conventional rakes with Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) rake for the following trains as detailed below:
1.Train No. 17312 SSS Hubballi-Dr. MGR Chennai Central Weekly Express from June 20, 2024.
2.Train No. 17311 Dr. MGR Chennai Central-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express from June 21, 2024.
3.Train No. 22697 SSS Hubballi-Dr. MGR Chennai Central Weekly Express from June 22, 2024.
4.Train No. 22698 Dr. MGR Chennai Central-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express from June 23, 2024.
The revised coach composition for these trains will be as follows: AC First Class-1, AC Two Tier-1, AC Three Tier-3, Sleeper Class-9, General Second Class-3, Second Class Coach with brake van/disabled-friendly compartment-1 and Brake, luggage cum generator car-1.
Further conversions of these trains with revised coach compositions will take place on the following dates:
1.Train No. 17312 SSS Hubballi-Dr. MGR Chennai Central Weekly Express from September 5, 2024.
2.Train No. 17311 Dr. MGR Chennai Central-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express from September 6, 2024.
3.Train No. 22697 SSS Hubballi-Dr. MGR Chennai Central Weekly Express from September 7, 2024.
4.Train No. 22698 Dr. MGR Chennai Central-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express from September 8, 2024.
The revised coach composition for these later conversions will be as follows: AC First Class-1, AC Two Tier-2, AC Three Tier-3, AC Three Tier Economy-2, Sleeper Class-6, General Second Class-3 and Brake, luggage cum generator car-2.
II.Cancellation of MEMU trains
Due to line block/power block for insertion and removal of girders at bridge no. 830 between Whitefield Panel Cabin and Krishnarajapuram stations, the following MEMU special trains will be cancelled.
1.Train No. 06527 Bangarapet-SMVT Bengaluru MEMU Special will be cancelled on June 20 and 27, 2024.
2.Train No. 06528 SMVT Bengaluru-Bangarapet MEMU Special will be cancelled on June 21 and 28, 2024.
