Profile of Shri Alok Kumar, PCPO/SWR
Shri Alok Kumar, IRPS belongs to 1987 Exam batch and has taken over the charge of Principal Chief Personnel Officer, South Western Railway on 07.08.2020. He has started his career in NER, where he was posted as APO in Lucknow and Samastipur Divisions. Thereafter, he had worked in various levels at DLW, SCR & WCR. He has served in DoPT under Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and also in Cabinet Secretariat on deputation from 2005 to 2012. After serving on deputation, he has done Advanced Professional Programme in Public Administration (APPPA) from Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi. Afterwards, he joined Northern Railway. While in NR, he went on study leave and did his LLM in Constitutional Law. Thereafter, he has served in NR as CPO/Admn, CPO/IR and PCPO. In April-2016, he had moved to Railway Board and worked as EDE(IR), till 03.07.2020.
