APPEAL FOR EXECUTION OF WORKS UNDER CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)
Hon’ble Prime Minister of India launched “ Swachh Bharat Mission” with a vision to dedicate Clean India on 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2/10/2019. Indian Railways have taken this campaign Under the “Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat Mission” with extraordinary zeal, resulting in cleaner and greener Railways. Regular events on cleanliness are being planned at the Railway premises. Focus of Indian Railways is to ensure clean and hygienic toilets, cleanliness at stations & trains, tree plantations, improving drainage, commissioning of Effluent Treatment Plant, undertaking Water Conservation and Renewable Energy works.
To meet the aspiration of the public South Western Railway has provided various amenities at the Railway stations. Number of works such as installation of Water Recycling plants, Lifts, Escalators, Battery operated vehicles on platforms, provision of toilets, Rain Water Harvesting, Commissioning of Solar & Wind Energy Plants have been identified to be taken up under CSR.
