IVRS with NTRS
The real time information regarding arrival / departure of trains, which is currently available at NTES is linked with IVRS at Hubli and Vaso-da-Gama on this railway which facilitates the public to get real time information regarding running trains.
POET
This is a passenger-operated system, which provides reservation related information such as availability of accommodation and current status of reservation ticket. POET facility is available at following 17 PRS centers: Hubli, Vasco-da-gama, Belgaum, Hospet, Bijapur, Dharwad, Bellary, Mysore, Bangalore City, Bangalore Cantt. Bangalore City:- Koramangala, Vijaynagar, Banshankari, Indira Nagar, Jayanagar, Malleshwaram and Yeshwanthpur.
ATVMs
Automatic Coin Operated Platform Ticket Vending Machine is fully automatic and works round the clock. This machine accepts coins of Rs.1/- and Rs.5/-. The machine acts as an additional counter and thereby reduces queue at Booking counters. Six Automatic Coin Operated Platform Ticket Vending Machines on Bangalore division and four over Mysore division over this railway have been provided.

Information on Service Agents:
You can book your tickets through authorised RTSA approved by zonal railways on payment of prescribed charges. No seperate reservation has been assigned to these agents and their staff have to take their turn in the reservation office for purchasing tickets like any other passenger.

All classes other than second/sleeper class: Rs. 25.
For second / sleeper class : Rs. 15

Foreign Tourists:
Foreign tourists who wish to experience India by train, can enjoy the special facilities earmarked for them. Several important trains have a special quota for foreign tourists which can be booked 360 days in advance. This facility can be availed by purchasing Indrail passes on payment in US Dollars, Pound Sterling or Euro currencies. Tourists without foreign currency will be allotted the special quota on production of the exchange certificates issued by any nationalised banks. At the time of reservation, the passport number and the country of origin should be mentioned in the reservation form. Major reservation centres have special cells to help foreign tourists in planning their itinerary, reserve their tickets and render any assistance required.
