INNOVATIONS OF MYS DIVISION

HR Initiatives: -

100% UMID (Unique Medical Identity Card) registration and generation of cards for serving employees – MYS Division is the first division to complete registration for all its 6392 employees in Indian Railways during the month of Nov – 2021, thereby facilitating Medical services to all serving employees and their dependents.

 

  • Productivity Linked Bonus for 5693 employees for Rs.9.69crore was passed in one day with the combined efforts of Accounts Department and Personnel Branch.
  • 26 Long pending Audit paras were cleared in a record time of 5 months with the efforts of Accounts Department and respective Executive departments.
  • Implemented the high transparency in Accounts working wherein it has created intranet modules for Finance, Bill passing, Budget, Establishment, Pension, PF and NPS sections and the information is readily accessible and available for any one in Railway network.
ENVIRONMENT

ØTo comply the directives of the Hon’ble NGT guidelines, Consent for Operation (CFO) form Karnataka State Pollution Control Board was obtained for all 12 stations of MYS division (NSG 2, 3 & 4), and MYS Division is the first to get CFO, among all Railway Divisions.


  • For making an urban forest near RH/MYS, 1500 saplings were planted in collaboration with M/s Schneider Electric India and CommuniTree on 22.10.2021
  • As part of awareness against the usage of single use plastics, an ant-plastic campaign was conducted in the division for a period of two months with the participation of SMRs, TTEs, CHIs, SSEs and RPF personnel.
  • Swachata Pakhwara campaign-2021 was observed throughout the division from 16.09.2021 to 02.10.2021, swachhta pledge, awarenss rally, nukkad nadak, shramdan, inspections, intensive cleaning stations and Railway premises, trainings for the staff, online competitions etc were conducted during the period.
  • 2810 saplings were planted during last year.

Technical achievement: -

Ø

For Un-Interrupted Power Supply for the signaling system, Conventional power supply system has been replaced with IPS system. 02 Nos. installed and commissioned at BBNH & AMSA stations.

For Tracking Arrival & Departure timings of Trains automatically, Control Office Application was commissioned at the 03 stations KBPR, SBHR & JRU.

The Train traffic control communication is a vital communication between controller at divisional HQs and station master at way station for efficient train operations. The existing system of working in Mysore division was of analog communication in OFC media using STM/PD Mux in each way stations.

This has been replaced by the VOIP based Train Control Communication System which uses the standard modern and widely proven Internet Protocol technology as a platform having higher clarity and reliability.

Advantages: -

·Better call quality 

·No Noise

·Monitoring of system up to the end point.

·Identifying the failure before station master complaints.

·Further expansion of system to other boards with minimum expenditure.

·Being on an IP platform, future technology upgrades can be easily adapted to the existing system. Hence, upgrading the existing system will cost less and easy to use.






1.First Division on Indian Railways to connect all four in-motion weighbridges (IMWB) at Sasalu, Hassan, Chitradurga & MMEC siding to CCTV and FOIS in Jan’21. All 4 IMWB are centrally monitored at Commercial control office, round the clock through CCTV, bringing transparency to the commercial transactions.







Covid Management:

Ø

All the109 beds in RH Mysuru were provided with Central Oxygen and Central Suction connections.  

Ø

To meet the Oxygen requirement of the patients the following measures have been taken:

 

a.PSA Oxygen Generator 500 LPM   has been installed at RH.

b.30 Nos. of Oxygen concentrators of 5 liters capacity have been procured

c.26 Nos. of Oxygen concentrators of 10 liters. Capacity have been procured

d.Each Health Unit has been provided with B type oxygen cylinders and Oxygen Concentrators.

e.100 Nos.  Jumbo Oxygen cylinders procured.

f.256 Nos.  B – type Oxygen cylinders procured.

g.ICU with 6 beds has been equipped with 6 ventilators, 2 HFNO 2 - Bi Pap and 1 C Pap machines.

Speed Raising: -

Ø

Speed raised from 95 kmph to 110 kmph between BSN-RDI Down line section on 06.04.2021.

Ø

Speed  increased b/w SPGR-ASK for 91.1kmFrom 100 kmph to 110 kmph on 28.07.2021.

Ø

Speed  increased b/w THN-DVG Down  line 9.37km From 90 kmph to 100 kmph on 08.07.2021.

Ø

Increasing of Sectional speed from 90 kmph to 100 kmph between HRR-DAD (Down) section (31.35 kms) on 19.08.2021.

Ø

Increasing of Loop line speed from 15 kmph  to 30 kmph for 02 stations of 9.37 kms. (DVG–Rd-1&4 & THN–Rd 1&4) on 04.11.2021.         

Ø

Four permanent speed restrictions were relaxed/eliminated.

Infrastructure: -

Ø

The non standard MG Re-braced steel girder of Bridge No.763 (1x12.20m) between MYS & AP was replaced with new welded type steel girder fit for 25T axle loading on 17.04.2021 as on infrastructure development in MYS division.

Ø

At Chitradurga (CTA) new electronic in motion weighbridge is commissioned within the period of seven months.

Ø

Railway Electrification works has been completed and energized for RKM- 33.602 (TKM 46.724) in CTA -JRU section on 23.10.2021.

Loading & Revenue: -

Ø

The division has achieved Highest ever monthly loading of 0.918 MT in December 2021 with 13829 wagons surpassing the previous highest of 0.838 MT with 12908 wagons during July-19.

Ø

The division has achieved Highest ever single day 641 wagons loaded on 06.01.22 surpassing the previous highest of 624 wagons on 18.12.21.

Ø

Highest ever monthly POL loading of 0.172 MT with 66 rakes during October-2021 surpassing the previous highest loading of 0.171 MT with 65 rakes during December-20.

Ø

Scrap sale management has recorded a sale of Rs. 4.12 Crores in a single e-auction, which is the highly appreciable achievement and best business since its inception in July 2017.

Ø

Mysore Division has achieved Rs.19.1crore and counting in Sundry earnings for this Financial Year which is the highest in Sundry earnings till date as against any financial Years.

                                                                                                   

BDU efforts: -

Ø

10 new destinations have been added to iron ore traffic from the Division which has resulted to fetching a revenue of 160.96 crores. 

Ø

Maize traffic was brought back from road to rail adding an extra revenue of Rs 26.45 crores.

Ø

Sugar loading from Haveri, Amaravathi Colony and Nanjangud Town
generating goods revenue of Rs 4.56 crores.

Ø

With the efforts of BDU, TVS two wheelers transport has come back from road to rail after a gap of 3 years generating goods revenue of Rs 3.55 crores.

Ø

Nestle products is now being booked by rail as PCET/GS/NMG specials to East and North part of India duly generating parcel revenue- Rs 1.66 Crores. 

Ø

Mysuru division has moved Onion from Challakere and Chitradurga in Kisan Special which has resulted in a revenue of Rs.37 Lakhs.

Ø

Special trains for RBI and other piecemeal VPH from MYS to NZM/GHY has contributed parcel revenue of Rs.3.12 Crores.
