About MDDTI



Diesel Training Centre was established at Hubballi on 07th Novemeber 2005 as per the recommendations of GM/SWR to train the Running Staff in HHP Diesel Locos of Indian Railway. 
Further Training centre recognized by Railway Board on 30th June2017.During 04th March 2020, Diesel Training Centre, Hubballi named as Multi Disciplinary Divisional Training Institute, Hubballi.Diesel Training centre was started to impart training for Loco Running Staff as well as maintenance staff, In due course MDDTI grown phenomenally over the years in terms of the type of training programmes conducted and quality of training imparted and for the first time in the history of MDDTI/UBL introduced and imparted Courses forApp. JE/DSL course for 52 weeks andApp. Tech-III course for 180 days.Today, this training centre stands tall of IR in providing value added training to the Railway personnel.
MDDTI has excellent infrastructure facilities for imparting quality training. Classrooms have been improved with latest training aids like multimedia projectors, Smart interactive white boards etc. Facilities like Library, Hostel, mess, sports and recreation are also available.The faculty comprises of experienced gazetted and non-gazetted staff from HHP Diesel Loco Shed and open–line. Visiting faculty is drawn from serving and retired Railway officers and supervisors, as well as from reputed Private sector undertakings who are experts in their fields. The Methodology of training include Lectures, Group Discussions, Group Exercises, Practical Demonstrations on working models, Field visits to Depot/ Shed floor visit/ Model rooms.It is the endeavour of MDDTI to make the staff, not only to develop their professional knowledge and skills to carry out the defined task and responsibilities but also to develop scientific thinking, plan and work methodically and show attitudinal change that integrates with life, work and self-development. Further MDDTI has made Yoga and Meditation classes for all the trainees to keep their body and mind in sound health.
