NOTIFICATION INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF HONORARY VISITING SPECIALIST (HVS) FOR DIVISIONAL RAILWAY HOSPITAL, BENGALURU.

NOTICE NO. B/MD.HVS-Physician/RH/SBC/2024 dated 20.06.2024.

Applications are invited for the post of Honorary Visiting Specialists (HVS) in the following field for a period of one year from the date of appointment:

Specialists interested to work as HVS General medicine (Physician) at Divisional Railway Hospital, Bengaluru may send their applications in sealed covers clearly mentioning on the cover “APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF HONORARY VISITING SPECIALIST (HVS) FOR DIVISIONAL RAILWAY HOSPITAL, BENGALURU” with detailed curriculum vitae along with copies of relevant documents (self Attested) in support of their age. qualification and experience addressed to Chief Medical Superintendent Divisional Railway Hospital M. G. Colony Railway Quarters Bengaluru-560 023 as per the timeline mentioned below

Last date and time of Receipt of Application: - 15.00 hrs of 01.08.2024

Date and time of opening of Application: -15.30 hrs of 01.08.2024

ANNEXURE-A

The eligibility criteria& other details for engagement as Honorary Visiting specialists to Divisional Railway Hospital, Bangalore.

Procedure for selection of HVS

Committee of three doctors headed by CMS/SBC will be constituted and they will do the screening of the credentials submitted by the doctors seeking to work as HVS at RH/SBC.

The selection will be only on the basis of credentials submitted along with the applications. The applications should be addressed to Chief Medical Superintendent, Divisional Railway Hospital, M.G Colony, Okalipuram, Bangalore-560 023, South Western Railway.

The applications should reach this office within 30 days from the date of publication of this notification in the newspaper.

The application with recent photo graph (passport size) should be submitted with all the documents in support of credentials as stipulated below. The document should be self- attested.

Minimum Qualification and experience-


1.

Specialists-

 

a) Post-Graduate degree from a recognized University. Minimum THREE years' experience in the professional work related to concerned speciality after obtaining P G Degree.

Age Profile –

1.

Initial engagement as HVS

During first time engagement, the preferred age is between 30 years to 64 years

2.

Subsequent renewal of the engagement

The upper age limit for continued engagement on renewal is 65 years

Initial engagement as HVS

The HVS contract offer will be initially for one year and can be extended every year based on the performance of the HVS.

 Frequency of visits per day per week& Honorarium

The concerned HVS have to perform their duties for minimum hours per day per week as

stipulated in the below table.

Termination of contract

The contract may be terminated at any time on one month notice on either side (Railways and HVS). The Administration reserves the right not to assign any reasons for such termination.

Leave entitlement

The HVS are allowed to have 12 days leave every year and for any absence beyond 12 days deductions will be made as tabulated below:

General medicine (Physician)

Rs.3250/- per day

This calculation for deductions per day is based on the monthly honorarium to be paid for the concerned HVS

Pass entitlement

One set of complimentary Railway pass valid over Indian Railway and Konkan Railway in AC II tier including Rajdhani Express and AC Chair Car of Shatabdi Express for self- including spouse and dependent children will be made available as per entitlement of selection grade officer in each calendar year.

The complimentary pass can be availed after 03 months of engagement as HVS for the calendar year.

Railways reserves the right to accept or reject any applicant based on the committee report without assigning any reasons thereof.
