MCDO for the Month of January-2024-reg


1.Sustained drives against touting activities in SWR: - During the month under review, special teams were constituted to workout illegal selling of e-tickets and illegal software by analysis of PRABAL Data/Surveillance etc. These special teams conducted raids at different travel agencies/agents engaged in touting activities over Karnataka & Goa and detected 32cases with arrest of 32 touts U/S 143 of Railways Act and seized 205 No’s of live reserved tickets valued ₹ 9,33,355.1/-, 582 No’s of used tickets valued  ₹ 11,89,797.55/-.

2.Patrolling by mobile teams (wherever deployed) every hour in vestibule trains:- On an average 41 to 45 important/vulnerable Spl/Mail/Express trains are escorted by 130 to 135  RPF personnel including women constables over SWR. RPF personnel deployed for escorts are patrolling in trains and interacting with passengers.  Besides, the teams keep watch on passengers carrying safety hazardous articles. 

 3.MeriSaheli: - To ensure maximum safety and security of women passengers on trains, Railways Protection Force (RPF) collects the seat/berth numbers of the single/alone female passengers and shares them with RPF personnel deployed at corresponding stations for their security & safety in en-route.  At the destination, a feedback from the identified passengers is collected for corrective response.  MeriSaheli members also help women passengers in availing auto rickshaws, bus services and carrying belongings of elderly and needy passengers. In SWR, presently this operation has been implemented in 28 identified trains.

 5.Initiative action by RPF:- ·YatriSuraksha(TOPB):- Under this operation in 01 occasion.

1.On 23.01.2024, at about 22.45 hrs, While Sri Nagaraju P, ASI/SKLR, Sri HalliNingeGowda, HC/391/SKLR & Sri Raghu HP, RPC/246/HAS @ SKLR attended TNo.16595 Ex SBC – KAWR express onarrival at Sakleshpur Railway station, spotted a person alighting from AC coach of the said train with carrying a backpack. After seeing the uniform personal, he ran away towards railway quarters, but caught hold by RPF and GRP staff at Railway Quarters road. On suspicious the bag was examined and foundcontained inside the bag asone vanity bag containingwith cash of Rs.1220/-, cosmetic items, Tablets, Railway Privilege pass No.108533 , DL, Voter ID, Canara Bank ATM Card &one ID card all belongsSmt. Bharathi D Kotian, COM/AST/Konkan Railway employee. On enquiry he revealed his name and address as PudiSwaraj aged 33 years, S/o Swami Naidu, working as Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) AT SKLR and narrated that he has been committing theft of passengers belonging on earlier several occasions by targeting night trains in between HAS-SKLR section and ready to show the place where the stolen property kept. Following which the matter was informed to ASI/GRP/HAS, Inturn Sri Kumar/ASI/GRP/HAS visited to RPF/SKLR-OP and caused enquiry with detained person. The detained person with stolen vanity bag was handed over to ASI/GRP/HAS. As led & shown by the detained person, ASI/GRP/HAS with RPF personalsearched at RLy Quarter, SKLR and another at private house, situated at Champaknagar, Sakleshpur and found following items as One Apple Mac book laptop with back pack ,One Lenovo laptop,One Samsung Tap,One I phone,One redmi phone,One Rolex watch,One Sports watch,One Sony digital camera, One Canon camera 08 No’s of different color of trolley bags. The above items were identified by the offender and he confessed as stolen by him in various trains in between HAS-SKLR section. The above items and the said ALP was handed over to GRP/HAS for further action. Further, enquiry with GRP/ASK stated that, the value of the above is yet to be ascertained and the said case was connected in GRP/ASK stn. Cr. No. 06/2024, 26 & 30/2023 U/S 379 IPC


·RAIL PRAHARI:-Under this operation in 01 occasion.

1.On 19.01.2024, on receipt ofmessage from Police Inspector/Mapusa Goa tracing out one girl along with one Girl- Saniya Singh aged 14 yrs, D/o.Mukta Sing R/o.Kacharipara, Patirama, DakshinDinajpur, West Bengal-73313 and Boy-Aktar Ali, age-23 years, S/o. AkhiluddingMulla, R/o.Vil-Sindurpur, Kumerganj-The, Dist- DakshinDinajpur, West Bengal were kidnapped by one unknown person and they were travelling intrain No.18048 Amaravathi Express from Goa to Orrissa. In this regard Smt.Menuka C.M, Assistant Sub-Inspector/RPF/Hosapete, Shri.Usman.B.C, ASI/RPF/HPT, Sri.H.A.Nadaf, HC/HPT, Sri.V.K.Mourya, CT/868/HPT made efforts to trace out the said boy and girl in rear side general compartment No.SE-118411 of said train at Hosapete Railway station, In this connection on 18.01.2024 a case has been registered Mapusa vide Cr.No.14/2024 u/s 363 IPC and u/s-8 of GCA. Further both the girl and boy were handed over to PSI/Mapusa, Goa along with his team further legal action. 

·Operation Bhoomi:-Under this operation in 01 occasion.

1.On 24.01.2024, Under the subpervision of ASC/SBC, PC/BNC, IPF/PS and RPF/RPSF staff assisted to engineering staff of SBC to evict20 un-authorised structures i.e15 Nos (eatables shops, mobile recharge shops, tea & snacks shops, pan shops)& 05 Nos of dwelling houses (erected for the last 40 years)at KJM (Krishnarajapuram)Railway stationtowardsPF No 4PRS ticket counterentry side were evicted and dismantled peacefully.


·Samraksha:-Under this operation in 02 occasions.

1.Under this operation conducted special drives against the menace of  carrying of Inflammable items in the trains as well as  Railway  premises over SWR in an occasion (SBC-02, MYS- 01) arrested 05 offender with seizer of gas cylinders and gas stove. Further a case has been registered against offenders and prosecuted u/s 164 of Railway Act.

·Operation AMANAT :-  Recovery of Passengers' belongings by RPF there by safeguarding passengers' belonging from reaching criminal elements: On 65 occasions (includes a recovery made by RPF Escort staff), RPF personnel recovered leftover items of passengers valued  ₹11,50,650/- (approx.) and restored to genuine passengers.
