Profile of Shri.RAMGOPAL, Chief Administrative Officer, S.W.Railway
Shri. RAMGOPAL has taken over the charge of Chief Administrative Officer, South Western Railway on 2nd November 2023, after working as the Principal Chief Engineer, S.W.Railway for a duration of 4 months. He has done his Graduation in Civil Engineering from AMU/Aligarh.
As an Officer of the 1988 batch of Indian Railway Service of Engineers, he had joined Railway service on 22nd January 1990. Shri. Ramgopal has worked in different capacities both in Open line and Construction organization. While working in NF Railway, he brought laurels to the Railway by achieving Rank no. 1 all over IR in Track renewal works during F.Y. 2022-23 and while working as Project Director/IRCON/Mumbai for 1 ½ year (From 27-01-2020 to 31-07-2021) for DFC project, turnover of IRCON from CTP -12 project during the period was ₹.1059 Cr. & executed 50 lakh cum of Earth Work, 1.83 Lakh cum of concreting & 100 Km track laying. In addition, he had made a mark in major system improvements in various fields during his previous postings in different Railways before joining to the post of CAO.
Shri. RAMGOPAL is in-charge of the entire Civil Engineering Organisation of South Western Railway consisting of more than 384 Railway stations 3629 Route Kilometers & 5057 track kilometers.
