1.1 The Operating department of Mysuru is headed by a Senior Divisional Operations Manager assisted by Divisional Operations Manager and Asst.Operations Manager.
1.2 Mysuru division major stations being supervised by Station Managers other medium and smaller stations are being looked after by sectional Traffic Inspectors as detailed below:

The Division covers 13 Districts viz., Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Tumkur, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Chitradurga, Davangere, Vijayanagara, and Haveri districts of Karnataka. AnathapurDistofAndrapradesh.

4.0 Important achievement:
In history of Mysore Division, the Division has achieved its highest-ever loading of
11.648 M.T in financial year 2023-24, surpassing the previous financial year's highest
of 9.549 MT by 22.0 % during 2022-23. It also exceeded the current financial year's
target of 10.430 M.T by 11.7%.
4.1 FreightLoadinghighights :
·During F.Y 2023-24, Division has achieved its highest-ever Iron Ore loading of 9.325 M.T, surpassing the previous 2021-22 full financial year's highest of 6.995 MT by 33.3%. It also crossed the current financial year's target of 7.310 M.T by 27.6 %.
·During 2023-24 F.Y, Division achieved its highest freight earnings of 993.51 Cr, surpassing the previous year's highest earning of 896.91 Cr by 10.8 %. It also exceeded the current financial year target of 986.62 Cr by 0.7 %.
·During March-2024, the division loaded 1.145 M.T, surpassing the previous monthly highest of 1.125 in December-2023.
·Division has loaded 928 wagons on March 31, 2024, setting a new record for the highest ever wagons loaded in a single day. Surpassing the previous record of 848 Wagons on 14.8.23.
·On 31/03/2024, the division loaded 696 wagons of iron ore (12 rakes), surpassing the previous highest loading of 640 wagons with 12 rakes on 14/08/2023.
·During March-2024, Division has loaded 0.939 M.T of iron ore, setting a new record for the highest ever iron ore loaded in a month and cross the previous highest of 0.927 M.T loaded on Aug-23.
·Financial year 2023-24 division has achieved highest ever NTKMs of 6433.7 Million compared to previous F.Y, when 4799.3 was achieved also cross the current F.Y target of 4541 by + 41.7 % . Additionally, GTKM also achieved 11352 Million by beating previous financial year highest of 8247.7 Million by + 37.6%.
·In November 2023, the new GCT of M/s Container Corporation of India Ltd MMPL (GCCK) was inaugurated at KDO/MYS on 21-11-23, and the first rake was received on 27-11-2023.
·In December 2023, the Division accomplished a significant milestone with major remodelling work at Hassan, commissioned on 23/12/2023, upgrading from Standard I to Standard II.
·During 2024-25 F.Y,(up to September 2024), due to BDU efforts, the Division has loaded rice commodity form AVC-DPJ,CTA-HSRA,HAS-CTND & SMET-SA .
·During 2024-25 F.Y,(up to September 2024), due to BDU efforts, the Division loaded highest ever Auto mobile loding from KDO of 35 rakes.

7.0 GHAT SECTION – BETWEEN SAKLESHPUR AND SUBRAMANYA ROAD ON HASSAN – MANGALORE ROUTE
·55 Km. of the section between SKLR & SBHR is in the ghat section with 58 tunnels (11 Kms.) and 84 girder bridges. The ruling gradient in ghat section 1 in 50.
·The Division consistsof ‘D’ route ( 793 route Km.) and ‘E’ route (352 route Km).
