OPERATING DEPARTMENT
GENERAL INFORMATION.:
The Operating department of mysuru division is headed by Senior Divisional Operations Manger assisted by Divisional Operations Manager.
MOTTO: Operating department has to ensure loading and movement of freight trains without affecting the punctuality of coaching trains. This is ensured by close co-ordination with other department.
Mysuru division has total 89 number of crossing stations and 36 number of Halt stations. To ensure safety of operation, the division is divided into eight sections each monitored by Sectional Traffic Inspectors.
(a) In Mysuru division on an average we are running 72 number of originating trains and 80number of pass through trains.
Due to Covid-19 presently we are running 09 number of originating and 19 no. of pass through trains in the division.
The division has total of 16-loading stations, 11-number of unloading stations and 06-number of private sidings.

MOVING TRAINS THROUGH DIFFICULT TERRAIN:
GHAT SECTION – BETWEEN SAKLESHPUR AND SUBRAMANYA ROAD ON HASSAN – MANGALORE ROUTE –SECTIONAL INFORMATION.
55 Km. of section between SKLR & SBHR is in ghat section with 58 tunnels (11 Kms.) and 84girder bridges. The ruling gradient in ghat section 1 in 50.
The division consist of‘D’ route ( 793 route Km.) and ‘E’ route (352 route Km).
