1.1    The Operating department of Mysuru is headed by a Senior Divisional Operations Manager assisted by Divisional Operations Manager and Asst.Operations Manager.

1.2       Mysuru division major stations being supervised by Station Managers other medium and smaller stations are being looked after by sectional Traffic Inspectors as detailed below:

The Division covers 13 Districts viz., Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Tumkur, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Chitradurga, Davangere, Vijayanagara, and Haveri districts of Karnataka.  AnathapurDistof Andrapradesh.

1.6       Division has got seven interchange points:

3.1.      System of Working:    Absolute Block System   STD- II/R/ MACLS,     Std I-R- MACLS at HAS &CMGR

4.0  Important achievement:

4.1 Freight Loadinghighights :  

1.Division has loaded highest ever Originating loading of 9.549 MT during 2022-23 surpass the previous highest loading of 9.140 MT during 2021-22 increased by4.5%.

2.Division has achieved Highest ever freight earnings of 896.91Cr, surpassing previous highest earnings of 688.20Cr during 2021-22 increase by 30.3 % and surpass the yearly target of 739.99 cr

increased by21.2 %.

3.Division has loaded highest ever POL loading of 2.036 MT with 781 rakes, surpassing previous highest yearly loading of 1.634 MT with 607 rakes during 2016-17 increased by24.6 %.

4.During Aug-23 division has loaded highest ever monthly loading  of 1.119MT surpassing the previous  highest monthly loading of 1.074 MT during Jan-23.

5.Division has loaded highest ever monthly Iron Ore loading of 0.927 MT in Aug-23, surpassing previous highest monthly Iron Ore loading of 0.803 MT during the month of March-23.

5.3Wagon Turn Round: Wagon turn round 2021-22 of Mysuru Division is 1.8 days,  for 2022-23 it is improved to 1.6 days (+11.1%).

7.0       GHAT SECTION – BETWEEN SAKLESHPUR AND SUBRAMANYA ROAD ON HASSAN – MANGALORE ROUTE

·55 Km. of the section between SKLR & SBHR is in the ghat section with 58 tunnels (11 Kms.) and 84  girder bridges. The ruling gradient in ghat section 1 in 50.

·The Division consists of  ‘D’ route ( 793 route Km.) and ‘E’ route (352 route Km).
