1.1The Operating department of Mysuru is headed by a Senior Divisional Operations Manager assisted by Divisional Operations Manager and Asst.Operations Manager.
1.2Mysuru division major stations being supervised by Station Managers other medium and smaller stations are being looked after by sectional Traffic Inspectors as detailed below:

The Division covers 13 Districts viz., Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Tumkur, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Chitradurga, Davangere, Vijayanagara, and Haveri districts of Karnataka.Anathapur Dist of Andrapradesh.
1.6Division has got seven interchange points:

4.0 Important achievement:
4.1 Freight Loading highights :
1. During 2021-22 Division has achieved Highest ever Originating loading of 9.140 MT, surpassing the previous highest loading of 8.137 MT during 2019-20.
2.The division has achieved Highest ever Iron ore loading of 6.955 MT in 2021-22 surpassing the previous highest of 6.381 MT during 2019-20.
3.The division has run the highest No of Crack special 140 Trains during June-22, surpassing the previous highest of 137 Trains during May-22.
4.The division achieved the Highest ever single-day wagon loading of 669 wagons on 03.02.22 surpassing the previous highest 641 wagons on 06.01.22.
5.The Division has achieved highest ever POL loading of 0.193 MTwith 75 Rakes during the month of October-2022 surpassing the previous highest loading of 0.190 MT with 73 Rakes during Sept-2022.

7.0GHAT SECTION – BETWEEN SAKLESHPUR AND SUBRAMANYA ROAD ON HASSAN – MANGALORE ROUTE
·55 Km. of the section between SKLR & SBHR is in the ghat section with 58 tunnels (11 Kms.) and 84 girder bridges. The ruling gradient in ghat section 1 in 50.
·The division consists of ‘D’ route ( 793 route Km.) and ‘E’ route (352 route Km).
