Shri. S.P.S. Gupta has taken over the charge of Principal Chief Engineer, South Western Railway on 7th June 2021. He was born in the State of Rajasthan, on 24th December 1963.He has done his Engineering (Civil) in MREC/Jaipur and also MBA (Finance) from M.S.University/Vadodara. An Officer of 1985 batch of Indian Railway Service Engineering and he has joined Railways in Engineering Department on 9th March 1987 in Western Railway/Pune and previously has worked in various capacities as Dy.Chief Engineer (TMC), Sr.Professor (Engg)/Railway Staff College, Chief Project Manager/DFCCIL etc., in different Places/Divisions like Jaipur, Vadodara, Ajmer, RDSO/LKO, Rajkot, Churchgate, Mumbai of Western & CSMT, Central Railway.After working as PCSO, NWR/Jaipur he has joined SWR, Hubballi.In all his tenures he has made a mark in major system improvement, before joining to the post of PCE. Shri.S.P.S.Gupta is in-charge of entire Civil Engineering assets and infrastructure of South Western Railway consisting of more than 381 Railway stations and 3605.5 Route Kilometres. |
