1. The doubling project has been sanctioned by Railway Board as per Pink book item No.37 of 2015-16.
2. In principle approval of ‘Niti Ayog’ received from Railway Board letter dt. 14.08.2015.
3. Contracts for earthwork, minor bridges, major bridges, construction of platforms and S&T accommodation, etc. for entire stretch of 96 km between Arsikere-Tumkur have been awarded and the work has commenced.
4. Physical work has already commenced for the project which is planned to be commenced in 3 years, i.e. by 2019-20.
